Terms of Use
Last updated: June 12, 2026
These terms are intentionally short, because the app is intentionally simple: your data stays on your device and there are no accounts. By downloading or using Stoke BBQ, you agree to the following.
The app
Stoke BBQ is a cook-logging and pit-monitoring app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, published by Stoke BBQ. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app.
Subscriptions
Stoke BBQ is free to download with a 7-day full-featured trial. After the trial, a subscription unlocks the premium layer. Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely by Apple through your App Store account — pricing is shown in the app before you buy, renewals and cancellations are handled in your App Store subscription settings, and refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
Your data, your responsibility
All cook data is stored locally on your device. We don’t run servers and can’t recover your data for you — keep your device backups on if your cook history matters to you. You can export your cook log from the app at any time.
Cooking is on you
Stoke BBQ is a logging and coaching tool, not a food-safety authority. Temperature readings depend on your probes and their services; the AI Cook Coach offers suggestions, not guarantees. Always verify doneness and food-safe temperatures yourself (e.g., USDA guidance). We are not liable for undercooked brisket, overcooked ribs, or disappointed in-laws.
Third-party services
Probe integrations (ThermoWorks, MEATER) connect to those companies’ services using credentials you provide. Their availability, accuracy, and terms are theirs, not ours. We may add or remove integrations over time.
Acceptable use
Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, and don’t use it in any way that violates applicable law or Apple’s App Store terms.
Warranty and liability
The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the past twelve months.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
